Only a few suggestions, this 80 degree heat took the energy out of me.

Melody: 1/2- Its great, the synth could be a bit louder and maybe rougher, because its kinda competing with an electric guitar. The guitar is perfect

Drum: 2/2- Needed to be louder.

Bass: 2/2- The guitars kinda helped the weak bass, so its alright.

Instruments used: 2/2- You did a great job combining the two elements.

Mood: 2/2- Sounds spacey, like some wacky sci-fi game. Megaman, perhaps.

OVERALL: 9/10- Love it

Melody: 2/2- Catchy, simple, nice.

Bass: 2/2- I think its just fine. Maybe its my bass booster headphones though... make sure you master your song with and without headphones.

Drums: 1/2- Kinda simplistic. Its not bad, but it would really help if it was a bit more advanced.

Instruments: 2/2- No complaints

Mood: 2/2- Makes me want to dance

OVERALL: 9/10- Awesome work

[Pokemon G/S Lance Battle Final]

HOLY CRAP

Melody: 4/2- Guitars are perfect. So perfect, you got max points. It really captured the fury of the final battle and the anger I felt after getting PWNED by Lance's Dragonite.

Drums: 2/2- Really defines the mood of the song right off of the bat.

Bass: 2/2- No comment

Instruments Used: 3/2- You really redefined the use of guitars in video game remixes, as a sort of bridge between the virtual and biological world. Until now, guitars being used in common video game remixes sucked. This really takes the cake for one of the best remixes I have ever heard. The drums really brings those 8-bit pixels creations to life, and to our ears. But what I really liked is that you stuck to the roots and used those synths. That of course added a lot of class to it.

Mood: 3/2- This is an epic battle. All of your hard work paid off in making this- it really worked out.

OVERALL: 14/10
I am completely serious. Technically, you scored higher than what is possible. Your score is an improper fraction, and the highest score I have ever given.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. It's awesome reviews like this that keep me writing and recording.

I would have done more with the bass, maybe some solos or something in there, more variation in the recordings but I only have my bass player come and record once before the final render. I'm also limited by his playing ability. He's not bad by and means, but he is pretty rusty because he doesn't really play regularly. He is starting to again because he's in my band now, which is cool because it will improve the quality of the recordings as well.

I listened to your stuff and it's pretty good too, especially since you're so young it means you have plenty of room to grow. The songs I made when I was your age really sounded like a moron just pounding the shit out of a piano with a club-foot. But... thanks again!

Melody: 1/2- I think it could be a bit more lively, the instrument could be changed. This is an arcade/casino, y'know

Bass: 2/2- Fits well

Drums: 2/2- Really adds to the mood, keeps the song alive

Instruments: 1/2- Kinda sounds too dull for a game corner, but at the same time, it fits. Strange.

Mood: 2/2- Not bad. Its incredibly easy to listen to, but it kinda takes away the Game Corner mood.

OVERALL: 8/10

I was just about to finish my G/S/C version... wow
Melody: 1/2- Good, but I think the melody should be a calmer instrument. I really did not like the one from D/P/Pt, it seemed off.
Bass: 2/2- Sufficient
Drums: N/A- As my grade system goes, if there is no bass or drums, the instruments used section becomes out of 4 instead of two.
Instruments: 2/4- Not bad, just not great. The main melody could have been a bit more mellow, because its a surfing melody.
Mood: 1/2- Half and half. At some times, it was great, at some times it wasnt.

OVERALL: 6/10- not bad

[Wild Pokemon Battle (Kanto)]

I'm disappointed that I cant get my remixes to sound this awesome.
Oh well... lets get on with this quickly so I can go to bed.

Melody: 2/2- Needed to be a bit louder

Bass: 3/2- The bass by itself is what makes this song so great.
Instruments: 2/2- No complaints here.
Mood: 3/2- One of the few songs I've seen that can portray a battle, loop, and make you want to dance at the same time. You should have put it as a loop, because when I listen to it on my iphone on loop it works perfectly.

OVERALL: 12/10

[Galactic Grunt Battle]

Alrighty

Melody: 2/2- Nailed it, the strings needed to be a bit more concrete. They were too soft.
Drums: 2/2- Simple and effective.
Bass: 1/2- Soft... at some parts the brass really came out though, and i liked it.
Instruments: 0/2- They werent bad, but they sounded masked and in the background. Come on man!!! This is a battle song!
Mood: 1/2- Without the drums, this would be like a hideout song or an outside theme. You could have gave the instruments a bit of a sound boost.

OVERALL: 6/10

[Secrets-]

DARK

Melody: 1/2- The song got choppy and clashed a little bit towards the end. I think the strings were good.
Drums: 2/2- Nice and simple. No need to complicate things.
Bass: 1/2- I think it could be a bit louder, to give it a more ominous feel.
Instruments: 2/2- Perfect, simple, dark. Good
Mood: 3/2- Really nailed the dark feeling to it.

OVERALL: 9/10

[Brawl Beneath The Moon]

Not feeling it

Melody: 1/2- way too repetitive. You could have changed it a bit\
Drums: 0/2- Didnt hear anything. It would help towards that "blood flowing" mood
Bass: 1/2- It fit, could have been lower, like an octave lower
Instruments: 2/2- Its nice for a peaceful song. Not for a battle song though.
Mood: 0/2- Change your title to "Chilling on the Moon". The guitars were not loud enough to give it a battle feel. Sounds really like a modern orchestra to me.

OVERALL: 4/10- I really hate to do this but...

[DP Gym Leader Rock]

Good work

Melody: 1/2- You did well with this tricky song. I liked the guitars, but they only sounded right in some parts. Perhaps you could have another lead instrument that plays in some of the tougher guitar parts- I think that would help.
Drums: 1/2- Kind of lackluster in some parts of the songs. I think it would really compliment the guitars(which really need some help in parts of the song) if you made the drums more opaque. You had some really good drums to work with here, and you barely touched them, it seems.
Bass: 0/2- D/P/Pt has most likely the most bass out of all of the games. But here, there isnt enough at all. Especially at 2:04, where the bass is supposed to have a bit of a solo, you have the piano. I really dont think, unless louder, a piano can suffice as a bass. I have tried using a piano for a bass and it was successful, so I dont think you're too far off.
Mood: 2/2- No comment. Its good for the gym battle.
Instruments: 1/2- Did not like the piano bass and I did not like the guitar at some times.
OVERALL: 5/10
As a rivaling MIDI artist, I look to your songs to see what you are doing right, and what you are doing wrong. This song wasnt the best thing from you I have listened to, to but it truthfully. Its not bad though. Having attempted this song multiple times, I know how difficult it is to get it right. I mean with all of the instruments that the MIDI provides, its near impossible to single out all of the different sections to work on. I really like your music and hope we can collaborate on something in the future.
